2007 Women's Final Four - Cleveland

After day one in Cleveland for the Women's Final Four, all I can say is I hope, if the tournament ever comes back, the city better make sure all of the construction is complete. Because of construction all around downtown Cleveland, it took about 1 and 1/2 hours to get from the airport to the hotel. I missed the morning session for the 2007 WNBA Draft. I received word from a volunteer that some of the construction started two weeks ago. The mayor knew the tournament was about to start, but chose to break up the streets anyway. Way to go Cleveland! Let the NCAA know that you don't care about the tournament once it has been assigned to your city. I hope Tampa will not have this problem. There is someone from Tampa here and he stated they are doing everything to make sure nothing like this occurs. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I attended the Kodak/WBCA All-American press conference this morning. While there, I saw the coach of the UT Lady Longhorns (and I don't mean Jody Conradt). It should be officially announced next week. Keep viewing my daily blogs to get a fan's real perspective of the Final Four.
